Pollux Safety Mission and Objectives

Safety first in every operation.

Pollux aviation is committed to conducting all operations including flights, maintenance, and ground support in a way that prioritizes the safety of all Pollux staff, passengers, aircraft, and the public at large. Safety comes first.

Our mission is to proactively assess, identify, and manage risk while fostering a strong safety culture within the Pollux staff.

Every employee should feel empowered to actively participate in hazard identification and safety improvement.

The objectives of Pollux Aviation’s Safety Management System (SMS) are to:

  • Prevent accidents, incidents, and injuries

  • Identify hazards before they result in harm

  • Reduce operational risk

  • Continuously improve safety performance

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable FAA regulations and guidance

Every person who sets foot inside the hangar or one of the Pollux helicopters is placing an immense amount of trust in us as a company and in our individual pilots and mechanics.

We take safety seriously.

We strive to promote a safety culture that recognizes this trust and meets it with a high level of attention to detail when it comes to safety while still being able to complete job functions.

Pollux Aviation Safety Culture Mission Statement

Pollux Aviation is committed to fostering a strong Safety Culture that encourages all Pollux employees to feel empowered to report safety concerns or mistakes made without fear of retaliation or professional consequences.

This safety culture should allow employees to feel that they can easily be honest and own up to any errors they made because they know that this will only help them and all other employees safer in the long run. Pollux aims to reduce the shame that causes employees to try to cover up and hide any errors they may have made. Complete honesty, collaboration, and dedication to learning and safety is the goal.
